An ancient hindu mythology tale goes like this:
Once upon a time, there lived a learned sage. He was a master of advanced military arts, including the divine weapons. His expertise was hailed across the country and soon he was approached by a king’s emissary to come and train the princes of that kingdom.
The teacher was soon situated in an ashram [a place in the forest where people go for learning spiritual and artistic matters] and the princes lived with him. [Think of it as a 24x7 boarding school.]
The sage/teacher began teaching his young disciples everything he knew, from weapons to techniques to hone their princely skills to focus and strategy.
During one particular lesson, he called upon one of his disciples and told him, “I want you to go out and find me a good human being— someone who is nice, happy, respectful, and courteous. Someone we would all like to meet.
The disciple set out to do his teacher’s bidding. He spent a full day talking to people and looking for that perfect, pure human being. He returned later that night, feeling frustrated beyond measure because he couldn’t find anyone that met the requirements. When his teacher asked him why he had returned empty-handed, he said, “everyone I met was either unhappy, or not good towards others; disrespectful; worried, annoyed, argumentative, and so on.”
