Member-only story
Once upon a time, a group of six friends went on an adventure vacation, you know the kind where you spend your time outdoors enjoying nature and all the discomfort that comes with it, lol.
Their action-packed days included hiking through parks, visiting volcanic landscapes, and zip lining through dense forest canopies, over gushing rivers.
One day as they were hiking through a rainforest, they took a shortcut, thinking they’d get to a waterfall sooner. The forest was enchanting, filled with trees with knotty arms that seemed to touch the sky. They were laughing and enjoying the trek when the road they were on suddenly turned lonely.
They turned back, but they reached another dead end. They had taken a wrong turn somewhere.
They frantically looked for a way out. But soon realized that they were stuck in a wild forest maze.
Tired and hungry, they looked for food. They found wild berries but they were still hungry. Some more exploring led them to a small fruit tree.
One man said, “It’s small enough, we can just break many of its branches and collect all the fruit.”
The second man said, “We don’t need that many fruits. Let’s just cut off a few branches, eat what we can, and take a few with us.”
The third friend said, “Even the smallest branch has so many fruits on it, why cut more than one?”
